Salmo trutta f. trutta
They look like salmon and have the same spawning patterns and even the same
season. They spend their first seasons in fresh water and then turn to the
sea. Unlike salmon sea-trout stay close to land. As we all know here in
Norway sea-trout are caught non almost all forms of equipment, be it fly
bait or trawling.
