Anguilla anguilla
Eels have a long stream line body that is not unlike a land snake. They can
grow up to the length of 1.5m and weigh over 12 kg. From our coast they then
travel to the Sargasso Sea to spawn and the lave that result from this drift
with the currents of the gulf stream to begin their life as an adult eel.
